The January transfer market proves to be a period of significant rumour and possible major deals. A number of prominent footballers are being connected to transfers out of their current teams. We examine some of the top names that could be changing clubs in January.

A. Semenyo

Despite Ghana's failure to qualify for the AFCON, this has kept the forward in contention, it appears a significant transfer is close. The 25-year-old has a deal with a sizeable release clause active for a two-week period in early January. Latest developments suggest the Premier League champions are now the frontrunners for his signature. Other interested parties such as Tottenham and Chelsea reportedly have moved on to alternative options, potentially opening the door for teams like Manchester United or Liverpool to make a last-minute bid.

M. Guéhi

The English centre-back has continued to impress for Crystal Palace despite a summer transfer to Anfield falling through. With his deal set to expire in the summer, this represents the London club's last chance to secure a fee for their captain. Numerous top sides, such as Manchester City and several continental powerhouses like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, are believed to hold an interest. Yet, a winter departure remains unlikely, particularly given the manager's reliance on the defender.

B. Johnson

The Welsh forward has found starting minutes hard to come by at Spurs this campaign. Although finishing as the club's top scorer the previous campaign, Johnson has begun only a handful of Premier League games. Reports suggest the London outfit would be open to a sale for the correct valuation, thought to be in the around forty million pounds.
